The stars did not align for us

And so, we pushed them into place

The paths before us did not cross

And to each other we turned to face

In light in dark and leagues across

The line between our eyes we trace

Through birth, through laughter and through loss

Your love is written on my face

Now you are mine and I am yours

Calm in the chaos of life's race

Galaxies came, the universe went by us

Bodies afloat, our minds levitate in space

Staring at the stars shining down on us

Betwixt and between this interstellar space

This love we have it works for us

Because we put it into place
